This website is hosted and delivered through Netlify, a service provided by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit the website, Netlify automatically processes technical connection and usage data needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include your IP address, device and browser information, the requested page, the referring page, and the date and time of the request.
The legal basis for processing under my responsibility is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interests are the secure, reliable, and efficient provision of this website. The duration for which Netlify retains data is determined by Netlify in accordance with its contractual terms, privacy documentation, and legal obligations.
Netlify may process data in the United States and other countries. Netlify states that it participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers where required. 3. Contact by email
If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide, such as your email address, name, message, and any metadata transmitted with the email, in order to respond to your request.
Depending on the content of your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence. My legitimate interest is to answer messages addressed to me. I retain correspondence only for as long as needed for the respective purpose and any applicable statutory retention obligations.
4. Google Fonts
This website loads the typefaces Lora, Source Serif 4, and Source Code Pro from the Google Fonts Web API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To provide the font files, your browser connects to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives your IP address, the requested URL, and HTTP headers including browser and operating-system information and the referrer. Google states that the Google Fonts Web API does not set or log cookies and that information collected by Google Fonts is not used to create end-user profiles or for targeted advertising.
The legal basis under my responsibility is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a consistent and readable presentation of this website. Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google states that it participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses where required. 5. Cookies, analytics, and contact forms
This website does not use analytics or advertising services. It does not set its own cookies and does not use an active contact form. The site search runs locally in your browser and does not send search queries to me or to a search provider.
6. External links
This website contains links to external services, including GitHub, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, publishers, universities, and project websites. No personal data is sent to those services merely because a link is displayed. If you follow an external link, the operator of the destination website processes data under its own responsibility and privacy notice.
7. Your rights
Subject to the requirements of the GDPR, you have the right to request access to your personal data (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), and data portability (Article 20). You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for North Rhine-Westphalia is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
